Breakout Spoken Word star is heating things up this winter with the release of his highly anticipated EP ‘The Eye Of Freedom Vol.2’ . The 5 track project which features the single ‘God Theory’ is sure to be in heavy rotation with production by Khalid Singletary, Daren Joseph and Donnie Cutz. How many of you might remember the Trinidad & Tobago native whose rise to fame started some years back on the iconic Showtime At The Apollo where he would go on to win 3 times before taking the world by storm. He’s accomplished so much in the past 15 years which only proves that if an artist truly puts their all in into their craft, their gift will continue to make room for them. Messiah has graced the stage all over the country performing at sold out shows on tour alongside with Kelly Price , while opening concerts for stars including Wale, Lupe Fiasco, Trey Songz & Chris Brown. Now one would think that with all this success he would just stick to only performing for the masses but the MC’s other passion is mentorship. Over the years Messiah has worked with many ordinations and institutions to help change the lives of incarcerated youth. As a mentor he continues to instill values and brings hope to countless men and women who are looking towards a brighter future. Gracing the stage alongside legends like Patti Labelle or performing for President Obama and Stevie Wonder and clearly some of his finest moments as an artist, but in his eyes inspiring others to be greater than their current circumstances is just as rewarding. This man of many words is known as a scholar, mentor, activist, entrepreneur, poet and rapper but when that is all said and done he forever be known as an inspiration to the world. Check out Messiah Ramkissoon’s latest project ‘The Eye Of Freedom Vol.2 ‘, which is just a taste of what’s to come from this rising star.
One of the most anticipated movies of the year has released the promo posters, and sadly, we gotta wait til next year to see these two titans take it to the ring.
Originally schedule to release this year, it looks like the new date of March 3, 2023 is when we will get to see what Michael B Jordan has been cooking up.
The movie will serve as Michael’s directorial debut, and also marks the first movie in the franchise where Sylvester Stallone will not appear.
Minaj originally submitted the track — which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in August — to the rap categories at the Grammys, but the decision was overturned by the Recording Academy’s rap committee, according to a source. That group determined that Minaj’s playful and pop-sounding song sampling Rick James’ 1981 classic “Super Freak” should compete for best pop solo performance instead of rap awards.

In my honest opinion, this was the right move! The song was produced by a Pop producer and it was also promoted as a Pop song. This isn’t an attack on Nicki Minaj, as it has happened across all genres. Some of the more notable people to have this happen would be Kacey Musgraves, The Weeknd, Iggy Azalea, Lil Nas X and so many more.
However, Nicki took to twitter to share her thoughts, per usual:
I have no prob being moved out the RAP category as long as we r ALL being treated FAIRLY. If SFG has 2B moved out RAP then so does Big Energy! ANY1 who says diff is simply a Nicki hater or a troll. I’d actually LUV 2 c a more street record win- male OR female! IJS rightIsRight 🫡
At this time, Big Energy by Latto, hasn’t been announced which category it will be in. It will likely be in the running for the same Pop awards, based on the fact that Dr. Luke also produced it and the Remix featured Mariah Carey’s rendition of Fantasy, which was also nominated in the Pop category.
