Both Drake and Kanye are rumored to released their long awaited albums, and after some recent beefs, it’s looking like it could be coming down to the battle of the rappers.
In my honest opinion, I think it will come down to who has the best features, as both rappers have negatives and positives with the public. Drake has, in the past, become predictable and repetitive. Kanye has been shamed for his Trump ties and opinions on slavery. Lets dive into each album, shall we?
Drake’s album is rumored to include his EP, Scary Hours 2, which was released earlier this year. Not to mention, “Laugh Now, Cry Later” is still being respected as the lead single of this project. That alone brings in notoriety. While none of this is confirmed, it states that he is collabing with up and coming rappers like Lil Baby and Lil Durk, but also with names you know, enter Rick Ross. During this process, Drake was also spotted with artists Naomi Sharon,
Roy Woods, Meek Mill, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Preme, and Future.
Kanye’s Donda is being presented as a masterlist of features. He has had 4 different listening parties and everytime the setlist and the features are being changed. The most notable features are Jay-Z, Francis and the Lights, Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Chris Brown,Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Pusha T, Popsmoke, Vory, The Sunday Service Choir, and Don Toliver. Looks as if the song Hurricane (F/ The Weeknd, Lil Baby) may be the lead single, as it’s the only track with information on iTunes, and has been for weeks.
One advantage Kanye has over Drake is that he’s had a preorder link available for sales for almost a month. Both artists have had extended runs with #1 albums, but it looks as if one of them may have to give up their winning streak. Who has your attention?
