Looks like Usher is giving the spinning chair another ride! This time, he isn’t going to be in the US though!
Woman’s Day reports the Yeah! singer, 39, will join the show’s upcoming seventh season after having previously appeared on the US version of the show.
Usher will be joining coaches Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland and Boy George in the red chairs and replaces British coach Seal.
‘While we do not comment on speculation or rumour, we can confirm that no decision has been made nor announced regarding the fourth superstar coach for Season 7 of The Voice Australia,’ the spokesperson said.
On Wednesday, Channel Nine confirmed Delta, Kelly and Boy George would be back on the show, but Seal’s name was left off the confirmation list.
Instead the network teased a mystery fourth judge to fill his shoes.
‘Stay tuned for coach #4,’ wrote The Voice’s Instagram account.
My opinion:
This could be a good beginning for his comeback. It will get him out of the US for a while, since people seem to always be guilty before any evidence is presented here. Also, it gives him a chance to cater to his overseas fanbase. We do know that he has already started working on his next album, as he has been seen out with JD and other hitmakers from his Confessions era. The real question is Kelly Rowland….wyd sis? This will be the second season for her, and still we haven’t had any new music since her 2013 smash R&B cd, Talk A Good Game! She was quickly signed to Epic Records with Junes Diary, but both have since lost that deal, and she has confirmed that she is currently independent. If we could just get some new sounds from her to hold us over….I’d gladly watch her on The Voice.
